Heri ya mwaka mpya! (That's Happy New Year in Swahili)

New Year’s Eve is celebrated more or less the same throughout the world

All over Africa, many people celebrate New Year's Eve by going to Church, partying at nightclubs, or celebrating with families and friends.

At midnight, brilliant firework shows rock the night sky across the African continent.

The last day of the year, December 31 is a night to stay up until midnight to see the New Year in and have another chance to start the year off right.

Maisha marefu! (Cheers or long life in Swahili!)
